Munich – China and Germany further deepened regional cooperation with a Tiexi Day event to be held in Munich, Germany on March 27, 2023.
The event coincided with an Economic Forum on Cooperation in the name of China-Germany (Shenyang) Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park.
Tiexi Day bears witness to Sino-German cooperation
With the theme of « Meeting China and Germany, Seeing the Future », the event attracted more than 100 public sector and business representatives from both sides to talk about industrial cooperation and seek opportunities for future development between China and Germany.
The event saw the signing of 11 projects, including the digital transformation and upgrade project of China-Europe Digital Alliance, the cultural and tourism project of Kaiyuan Zhouyou Group Germany, and the strategic cooperation project between Kemether Automotive Engineering Technology (Liaoning ) Co., Ltd and W+R Automation GmbH.
Speaking at the event, Shenyang Mayor Lv Zhicheng introduced the city’s convenient investment environment and superior policies of the industrial park, inviting German enterprises to invest in Shenyang. He also promised to « serve and support every enterprise ».
During the event, the Chinese side also introduced the China-Germany (Shenyang) Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park. The park focuses on the development of high-end and intelligent equipment, automobile manufacturing, industrial services, strategic emerging industries, and currently has more than 470 enterprises, including more than 80 German companies. In the year 2022, the park completed an industrial output value of more than 86.4 billion yuan, fixed assets investment of 19.5 billion yuan.
Germany is China’s main economic and trading partner in the EU. The latest data from the German Federal Statistical Office shows that the volume of bilateral trade between Germany and China reached 297.9 billion euros in 2022, making China Germany’s most important trading partner for the seventh consecutive year.
