The electric bicycle manufacturer HORWIN has the ear of the bicycle world with the latest generation of its high-performance bikes. With its innovative batteries, motors, frames, assistance and safety systems as well as its intelligent design, the HORWIN-SENMENTI series launches its first SENMENTI 0 model. The new technology was presented at the EICMA international bicycle fair which held in Milan (Italy) from 8 to 13 November 2022.
Its performance is impressive. To give just one example, the SENMENTI 0 reaches a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Its maximum distance at an average speed of 88 km/h is 300 km. When the battery’s state of charge drops, performance is unaffected and you can continue to enjoy the full driving experience. Additionally, a Range Extender is available for even greater distances and initial charge. Thanks to the Super Charger function, the vehicle battery can be recharged from 0 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes at any fast charging station for electric vehicles (400 V). The battery can also be used to produce electricity, for example for camping equipment or other electric vehicles.
« SENMENTI comes from the Chinese pronunciation of the word for ‘organism,' » explains Wendsor Zhou Wei, CEO and founder of HORWIN. By this, it refers to the built-in intelligent electronics that are capable of learning. For example, SENTIMENTI 0 automatically adapts to its owner’s driving style, thus improving energy efficiency.
More than 30 sensors and cameras in the vehicle collect information in real time and thus increase safety. For example, the SENTIMENTS 0 has an ABS braking system, an anti-slip system, tire pressure sensors and a collision warning. Driving comfort is further enhanced by hill climbing, starting and reversing assistance, rear suspension, various driving modes, Keyless Go, an intelligent camera for automatic photography, as well as seat and handle heating.
With its light and stable vehicle chassis and beautiful design, the SENTIMENT 0 offers low air resistance. It is ideal for city and country trips. The vehicle should be available for purchase from mid-2023.
The SENSENTI X e-bike concept was also presented at EICMA. For this purpose, a separate self-balancing function was developed to keep the vehicle in a static and balanced position while driving, thus further increasing driving safety.
